Gourdguy's Blog

Where nature and art meet!

My friend caught a moth and was describing how beautiful it was, so I began to wonder how I could make a moth with the use of gourd parts.  I finally settled on using two jewelry gourds for the body and head, but had to make the wings from bass wood.  I used nylon guitar strings for the tongue, antennae, and legs.  I also installed a magnet so that it will stick to the fridge door.
