Where nature and art meet!
Shoela is a name I gave this lady because of my granddaughter’s name being Shayla, and also because of Shoela’s large shoes. Every part of this art piece was made with gourd parts except the soles of her shoes. Her boobs were made with two jewelry gourds. I always tell people that Shoela was heading home with two pails of water from the the local water hole. She needed to get home because she knew it was time to fetch a beer from the fridge for her husband who was watching a ball game on television. She wore large shoes to fight off the crocodiles that frequented the water hole. This art piece is with my daughter, Lovina, who lives in California.
